Sir Elton John has visited 10 Downing Street to talk with Prime Minister David Cameron on the work of his Aids Foundation.Since 1992, the Elton John Aids Foundation has raised more than $ 130 million in the United States and the United Kingdom to fund care and support for people living with HIV / AIDS, HIV prevention programs and efforts to eliminate stigma and discrimination associated with the disease.

The AIDS Foundation is increasing its online presence to help combat an outbreak of HIV among gays and bisexual men in New Zealand.
Dawn O'Connor, spokesman for the AIDS Foundation, said the rise online networking sites, sex is one of the reasons for the increase because of less access to free condoms and lubricants available in gay clubs.
"We need to fight smarter and faster than we have in the past, particularly because of the immediacy of sexual contact.
"Wherever there are social networking sites online sex, the AIDS Foundation has a presence.This includes our sites and Bro Get It On-line advice guys how to have great sex, and safely. "
The sites are photographs and explicit language use and targeting young gay men.
O'Connor also said the AIDS Foundation is not able to pressure online networking sites to become more sexually responsible.
"We have a long relationship with key players in the game of online dating, which has gone through ups and downs.We would be able to tell them not to promote "bare-backing", or sex without a condom, but as a charity, all we can do is defend and get the message out there ".
Nigel Dickson, an AIDS researcher in the AIDS Epidemiology Group at Otago University affiliate, believes online sexual networks is a challenge but also an opportunity for HIV prevention in New Zealand.
"It may be easier to ask questions about the status online against HIV. However, it could be another story when you get there [to the sexual encounter]."
O'Connor said the gay clubs are more cooperative than dating sites.
"New Zealand's gay clubs are fantastic. They give out free condoms and lubricant and encourage people to take so they can carry, and use them to protect themselves and their partners."
In 2010, 90 HIV cases were diagnosed. This falls just short of the record year in New Zealand of 93 diagnoses in 2008.
